Whirlaway rose from the ashes of another South Florida outfit in the mid '90s called Dour, which included Steve Copeletti, Matt Cohen, and Adam Rosenberg. Rosenberg was originally a supplemental guitarist and backup vocalist, but later took over the lead vocals after their first singer left. Copeletti then brought in old high school friend Mike Johnson on bass. The revamped lineup decided on its new moniker: Whirlaway.

Here, we present to you two tracks from the ultra-limited edition and final release, Pompano. With sheets of feedback and soft lush vocals, these tunes come highly recommended for fans of My Bloody Valentine, Ride, and Spacemen 3.
