Webcam Hi-Fi was brought up 1999 by Frédéric Luneau.
Clearly based in the roots of jamaican music generally and in the Reggae & Dub roots of Channel One, King Jammy and Sir Coxsone particulary. Heavily influenced by the british "UK Dub" with Jah Shaka as founding father and Martin Campbell or Pablo Gad as vocalists, Webcam Hi-Fi with its performances and productions (Tube Dub Sound Records) however, always leads into the digital age whilst never forgetting the heart of the dancehall. It is this passion and culture, from which WEBCAM HI-FI draws its influences and continues that tradition at the same time.
Webcam Hi-Fi produced the following legendary artists: Earl Sixteen (JA), Carlton Livingston (JA), Ranking joe (JA), Anthony John (JA), Nya Azania (UK), Sista Widey (UK), Kenny Knots (UK), Tena stelin (UK), Madu (UK / Vibronics Crew), Jah Marnya (UK), Humble I (UK), Kiko ( Fr / No More Babylon), Naïma ( Fr / Dubians).
All productions are recorded and mixed at "Huge Studio" -horns by Three Full Horns, Ras martin sax, Fabio trombone & guitars by Benjamin “black G” guitar. All tracks will be released by Jah Tubbys for Tube Dub Sound Records.
“Dub & reggae were never meant to be entertainment it’s a weapon without compromise”
Lister Hewan-Lowe
