Walk On Water was A Detroit band that pioneered modern alternative rock in the 90's sharing stages and groupies of such compadres as The Verve, Pearl Jam, Oasis, and The Cult. The pressure rock rhythm of this quartet and wall of sound guitars searing over tough melancholy vocals boil up into a unique blend of ingredients. A fistfight between Iggy Pop and Kevin Shields while Led Zeppelin blaring from a ‘76 Trans Am would sum up their influences in cinematic form.

The tunes on High-Fi have all the sound and energy that even the best super charged guitar bands could muster and still have actual instrument separation and clarity in the vocals!

"Transitor" owns up to its 'cosmic conquistadores' sound (Pink Floyd Umma Gumma period) and "Solar Power Ride" driving the more classic high-octane (Blur/Stone Roses) side of these psych rockers. It's apparent that the music of Walk on Water was the height of cool in the 90's and took more chances with their vast open ended jams and still found a way to wrap it all up with a catchy sing along songs.
