Coming through with a hip hop style you've never heard before, Voicerock is a Dallas lyricist who keeps your head bobbin'. Well respected in his home state of Texas, Voice is an MC known for his innovation on the mic and energetic live show. With a rabid fan base, radio support, and a girth of projects in the works, the stage is set for Voicerock to unleash and take the world by storm.
A product of Dallas' east side, Voice is one of those cats who has always had music on the brain. From his early start with the rap/rock band 42nd Theory along with former SouthFM front man Paco Estrada, to his many dance music collaborations with such heavyweights as Habersham and Datguy, he has never been one to limit himself to one particular school of thought. Taking from all different genres, Voicerock evokes emotion through diverse imagary, which is easily accessible from the street to worldwide. "I enjoy everything from Weezer to Wu-tang," says Voice..."I think its important never to limit yourself." With his 2003 debut release, The Miles is Dead EP, Voice embarked on a melange of beats and rhymes that produced one of the most inspiring underground albums of the year. Collaborators included a myriad of hip hop talent such as Al Lyric, Blunt Force Crew, Sound Projects own Thinknaut, Jack Boyce, Milton Bradley, and of course producer and beat juggernaut ScottFree. The first single from The Miles is Dead EP, "Voice for President", debuted on Edgeclub with DJ Merrit and was one of the gems on the 2004 compilation, Texas Hip Hop Massacre. Voice has also enjoyed New York radio airplay on Liquid Todd's KTU show with the track Resuscitate. That track, in partnership with Involved Events and Lobotomy Records saw all proceeds benefit UNICEF, and enjoyed major support by DJs world wide.
Voicerock has recently caught the eye of Freq1see Entertainment, and is the first addition to the hip hop roster. With a new album on the way, and another collaboration with fellow Freq1see artists on the horizon, you can expect big things from Voicerock in the near future. Always on the grind and constantly writing, Voice is set to lay siege on your eardrums. VOICEROCK's new album Growing Pains will be released in Spring 2007, so stay tuned for upcoming info. Come back every day to find out what VOICE is up to and when his latest shows will be! VOICEROCK, tell a friend...
