From here on they’ve enjoyed several nice events. They played on several festivals (e.g. Boomtown & Bruksellive) and did the support of several international and national bands like 65 Days Of Static (UK,3 times), Apse (USA), Liars (USA), This will Destroy us (USA) Snowden (USA), Daturah (D) ef (SWE), Picastro (Can), Confuse The Cat (B), Amen Ra (B), and Madensuyu (B), in several great venues like the Ancienne Belgique , the Vooruit, STUK, the Magdalenazaal (Cactus Club), the Handelsbeurs, Kultuur Kaffee and the Recyclart, all the big Belgian venues.
In November 2006 they released their first EP “Broadleaves vs. Conifers” (self-released). The EP received pleasant responses from the music media: airplay on national radio stations. With their EP they could convince international venues of their qualities and were thus able to go on their first European tour in February 2008 with their good friends ‘Ansatz Der Maschine’, touring in The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia.
On the 31st of March 2008 they released their debut album on Zeal records (Konkurrent distribution, tomàn, Confuse The Cat, Sleepingdog, Timesbold), digitally on Kinky Star records. The album was recorded and mixed with Wouter Vlaeminck (tomàn) en several friends were invited to join on songs on the album (Chantal Acda (Sleepingdog), Wouter and Lode Vlaeminck (tomàn), Christoph Vandewoude (Soon) and Mathijs Bertel (Ansatz Der Maschine)).
Quotes:
“One of the most beautiful Belgian instrumental rock albums until today” (Rifraf)
“But where most of the bands (even the greatest like s Explosions In The Sky en Mono) have ceased to blow new life in to the genre, transit has surprisingly succeeded in carefully drawing out some new potential paths for the genre” (Goddeau)
“'Whitewater' is without doubt one of the finest (semi-)instrumental guitar albums of 2008” (2008)
In short: expect an energetic session of vast instrumental
soundscapes, exploring both intimate as explosive atmospheres that will not leave you unaffected. A cosy summer evening is disturbed by a rumble in the distance, a lightening bolt tears the heavens open and a gentle pleasing shower brings refreshment. Music full of (r)evolution.
