Although generally lumped into the blues-rock arena, Tim "Too Slim" Langford and his band fall into whatever category a combination of Tom Petty, Creedence and ZZ Top would create. Perhaps swampy Americana is closer to the trio's sound, especially on this terrific album.

The Fortune Teller is a collection of true stories, personal feelings, observations and “ tall tales” that I began writing after the completion of “Tales of Sin and Redemption”. It began with a strange encounter with a real fortune teller named “Yogi” , who seemed to appear from nowhere, as I was sitting in a town square in Oslo, Norway. Yogi proceeded to tell me all about myself, past, present, and (in retrospect) future events, with amazing accuracy it was quite unnerving. My conversation with “Yogi” led to some serious life changing decisions for me. I know it sounds like I am making this up, but I promise you, it really happened. For some reason the making of this album has been a very difficult process. The songs are all very personal and if it wasn’t for the love and support of Nancy (my wife, lover, best friend, counselor, and business partner) this project would never have seen the light of day. I hope whoever listens to this music enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it.
