Born from the remains of chart band and Island darlings C/O/R/D. Tin Man were pulled apart and put back together with sellotape and superglue. Their new seams are sharp but the sound is raw. Two successful singles on, Parallel Lives and
Tonight, the band present their debut long player Lions & Tigers & Bears, Oh My!
So let's hear it for the Trio - with it's paired back, single malt purity.
It's time for a renaissance for the purest of indie line-ups and its new end-of-level bosses.
Armed with proper heavy duty musicianship recalling 70’s and 80’s icons Fleetwood Mac and Dire Straits, and power cells charged with the pop-punk of Blondie and The Knack - their secret weapon is their ear for a relentlessly catchy guitar rock tune. Think The Police filtered through modern day Brooklyn electro indie. Sex on servo-assisted legs.
Undisputedly one of the UK’s best live shows; Tin Man’s nod back at power pop and the inclusion of agitated front man James Leeds will in no doubt ensure the group’s success.
Gearing up for live dates all over the country, a third single Emotional Response is released on the back of the album in early September.
If you want to hang it all on a peg start thinking along the lines of Judy Garland making love in Bowie’s flat or Blondie singing ‘rip him to shreds’ to Sting.
Joe Jackson in Dire Straits, Roxy Music stoned at Edison Lighthouse while The Motors slash the tyres of The Cars.
The Depressions at an AA meeting with the Racing Cars as The Kursal Flyers party on the roof tops.
If you're not in the know, you don't know what's about to hit you…
