Thursar's Journey to Jotunheim fuses elements of black metal
and world music by featuring sinister growled vocals accompanied by acoustic
World Music instruments such as Chinese zither(Gu Zheng) Chinese Lute(Pipa)
acoustic and electric sitatrs, acousti and electric South Indian Veenas, as
well as guitar synthesizers and guitar effects processors. The lyrics
revolve around a theory that the "Jotun" in Norse mythology were actually
Asiatic peoples. The lyric's storyline deals with a journey b a group of
Danish Vikings through an unfrozen arctic sea to the eastern coast of Asia.
