This EP was recorded right before our southwest tour (2008) during our Feb. residency at the Silverlake Lounge.

It features Raymond Richards (Idaho Falls, Hope Sandoval, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Mojave 3) on Pedal Steel, Jimmy Cabeza de Vaca (Dios Malos) on Accordian, Jack on Trumpet, and assorted friends (thank you Chris!) on handclaps and various inanimate objects (as percussions and the like).

The Tracklisting goes as follows:

1.Fight Song for the Desalojos
-this is our first song sung in spanish (ala Placido Domingo or Vicente Fernandez).
Desalojos are evacuees in Guatemala taken from their land by mining companies.

2.Trainwreck
-most of the ep centered around this song as it was the first one of the batch.

3.Little Sparrows in Boyle Heights
- Boyles heights was once called "the Flats". It has a diverse and rich history.

4.Bird in the Hand
-this song is meant to be a second part to "Little Sparrows..."

5. All Ye People
-a beautiful pedal steel. this song is an homage to the desert.
