How did they form…Sparks of inspiration for the band formed when members Smalls and Christopher came up with the idea of creating something that incorporated traditional sounding instruments with the raw attitude and riffs of rock, punk and hardcore while remaining accessible. Rob and Gregory were obvious choices for the remaining roles and so The Scourge of River City was born and has been rocking out ever since.

Their sound…Same old love story - four guys, a double bass, tremolo armed guitar, tattoos, a hand full of riffs and something to shout about.Conscious not to pigeon hole themselves they describe their sound simple as “rock and roll.” They wear their musical influences on their sleeve that cover a wide range including - The Bronx, Johnny Cash, the Smiths, Rise Against, Q.O.T.S.A, Rocket From the Crypt, Tiger Army Murder City Devils & American Nightmare. What have they been up to…

Although a relatively new band the members have vast amounts of experience sharing stages with the likes of - Blag (Dwarves) & Nick Oliveira (QOSTSA)- Wednesday 13- Doom Riders- Gallows - Long Tall Texans- Suicide File- Vincent Razorbacks- The Grit The band has gained sponsorship from King Double Bass, Black Cat Tattoo Aftercare as well as UK clothing company D.I.E. They’ve appeared in Big Cheese Magazine and have had tracks featured numerous times on the Radio 1 Mike Davies Punk Show and are set to do a lot more UK music press as well as touring in 2008What’s next…The Scourge of River City are on the lookout for pretty much anything from press & reviews, to getting on tours & playing shows.
