"Andy Warhol would have adored these four" Disorder Magazine
Formed two years ago, The Priscillas have gained an awesome live reputation. Their shows leave audiences with huge grins, humming their catchier-than-flu tunes. Jenny, Guri, Kate and Hege have honed their shows into proper events. They‚re not just the best all-girl band in the UK, but among the best bands in the country full stop. They make music to make the heart soar, the feet tap, and the jaw drop. On the cusp of rock n roll, punk and pop, they balance perfectly sweet tunes, sarky attitude, and romper stomping beats.
"A bag full of attitude so big you'd have trouble getting it on as hand luggage, The Priscillas are staking their claim as London's foremost queens of rock 'n' roll." NME
With no manager, agent, or press officer, they have played and played. And made things happen through sheer force of personality, glittering, 24-carat talent and THOSE songs.
"All hail The Priscillas, queens of the comb age." i-D Magazine
Shows with newer bands such as Art Brut, The Pipettes, The Subways, and, uh, James Blunt have thrown their talents into sharp relief. And they've mined the experience of supporting all-time heroes such as The Damned, The Cramps, The Seeds, The Monks, and The 5.6.7.8s at bigger venues, including London's Astoria.
"Despite the fact that The Priscillas look like gum-chewing, leather-clad bad girls, their cracking debut single is near-perfect power-pop." NME
Festival appearances include show-storming performances at Glastonbury, The Leeds Festival, Bestival, Truck Festival, The Big Chill, Lost Vagueness. They‚ve played in the USA, Spain, France, Holland, Belgium, Norway, Ireland, and Switzerland. And they‚ve notched up a series of radio show sessions with Marc Riley and Phill Jupitus on 6Music, WFMU, and Resonance, as well as being played on Radio 1, Xfm, Kerrang!
"When TG saw The Priscillas onstage at a club in London, we were blown away. It made us tingle in exactly the same way that watching Debbie Harry singing Heart of Glass on Top Of The Pops did back in the day." Total Guitar
Their second single, All My Friends Are Zombies was used on a trailer for CBBC that was aired on prime time BBC1. Their legendarily audacious videos have been on heavy rotation in Topshops across Europe.
"They're The Cramps, The Shangri-Las and the New York Dolls all rolled into one." Yen Magazine
The girls have had acres of incredibly positive press coverage, from Vogue and Elle to Kerrang, Word, i-D, NME, BUST, The Guardian, The Independent.
"With tight, bouncing basslines, popping guitar riffs, and infectious melodies, The Priscillas put their own stamp on pop punk with songs that burst with energy, humour and sass."
Bust Magazine
IAnd now, after preparing for two, balls-to-the-floor years, they've been recording, properly, for the first time. Teaming up with Grammy-nominated producer, Andy Chatterley (The Kills, Pussycat Dolls), their new recordings of live top pop favourites Superhero and Y.O.Y ramp up the glamour factor, and buff a hitherto unseen glossy finish to the girls‚‚carefully constructed rock 'n' roll mayhem. This you have to hear. Please form an orderly queue.
