The Passionistas are kinda like the 70s punks - if the 70s punks were into Beyonce, Timbaland, and 50's feud with the Game. Produced by Kelley Stoltz, God's Boat marks the first release from the Passionistas and the New and Used Records label. The album is full of catchy hooks and refreshingly simple home-studio production. Beneath the good-natured melodies, you're likely to hear some jabs directed towards indie kids, socialists, and one particular grandma. Comparisons to Television Personalities have been made - however the band draws most of their inspiration from fashion designers, Gwen Stefani and rap mixtapes.
