In short...THE GRANDPRIXX were a punk band out of Springfield MA. We formed in January of 1998 when Eli and I (Jay) met at Daddy-O's in Springfield...at a show...and discovered a love for the same bands and decided to try it out for ourselves. Joined by Marty and Kevin...we played shows and recorded and released records......and even toured the midwest and Canada. A couple line-up changes, 2 tours and 2 Cd's later...the band broke-up...in May of 2002. It could be alot of reasons...but over all....it was pretty much all of our first band...or first serious band...and times and people change...and a point came to move on. We had a blast. Now in 2005...there is talk about releasing a rare tracks, demo's, un-released, 7" and whatever else can be found CD. This is why i have decided to add THE GRANDPRIXX to myspace...and to give a little something to those people out there who still ask about the band and the fans we have made in our 4 1/2 year existance. maybe we may even make new fans...or even more, turn them on to current projects of the ex-members of the Prixx. ( Jay is playing in THE PROZACS and Kevin is playing in THE PROWl....both from Massachusetts) that's my story for now...and i am sticking to it! -Jay Prozac 2005
