THE AMCATS began through the simple fact that Shane (guitar/vox) and Renee (drums) didn't know a bass player. This did not deter them from grinding out some deliciously dirty garage rock in the chilly Adelaide, Australia winter. They enjoyed it so much they began to gig around Adelaide, making many friends & fans along the way.

Enlisting the help of Über producer Matt Hills, they recorded, mixed, and mastered their debut ep 'Go Amcats Go!' over two days and released it in January 2008. It has since been featured on Triple J, and reached 1 on Three D Radios 20+1 charts, as well as receiving airplay across the Europe & USA.
