Mixing upbeat contemporary influences into the well known soulful blend of old school Ska and Punk music. The Afterbeat have been continuously pleasing their listeners and working hard to improve their sound! The Afterbeat were named in Alternative Press (Aug 2003) magazine by Bucket Hingley (The Toasters/Moon Ska Records) as one of the top ten North American Ska acts performing presently. Things remain solid and they have released an EP as well as appeared on numerous compilations while still making a strong effort to get their name known internationally. With all of this, they always have the time to still perform for friends and fans all over North America. They have performed with such greats as The Skatalites, Bad brains, Alexisonfire, The Slackers, Moses Mayes, Mayor Mca, Bedouin Soundclash, 18 Visions, Tabaruk, The Planet Smashers, Mustard Plug, Catch 22 and Big D and The Kids Table. They are also preparing to unleash their first full length recording titled Personals upon the music world.
