The members of superfallingstars grew up in Connecticut, not far from the lulling beat of Long Island Sound upon the beach. William transforms his hardcore drumming roots from such bands as 76% Uncertain, Onion and Shelter into a kindler, gentler realm, but still drives the band with a strong foundation and an occasional tambourine. JJ, who was often seen making extra beer money with his acoustic guitar during the college days, culled his talents playing in bands from coast to coast, finally settling back in Connecticut. Sembos has charmed the scene in several local bands and accumulated enough relationship-oriented baggage to fuel several albums worth of music.
