THE DISCO SWEETHEARTS " SUGAR N' SPICE " A DUO THAT ROCK THE DANCE FLOOR. GREAT VOCALS.
Sugar N' Spice
1.“Baby, Let's Dance”, featuring La Shonda Dupree and Maurice Rice, is cookin' on the front burner. It's a smokin' disco jam that really makes you feel like moving and grooving for real. Sugar 'N Spice really knows how to keep that party going.
2.“Cupid On My Side”. Yes, Cupid is truly on their side with this lighthearted love song with impeccable vocals by La Shonda and Maurice. They really put their soul into every note and then some.
3.“When Did We Fall In Love?” Again reaching for perfection, you can enjoy the great sound the dynamic duo lends to this super song. These disco sweethearts can't be beat.
4.“I'm Going To The Disco”. Listen to the horns, the congas, the keyboard and the whole sound with all the instruments blending together, arranged and produced by Herschel Dwellingham, making you want to dance. You can feel La Shonda's and Maurice's happy feelings in this snappy disco jam.
5.“Why Don't You Let Me Love You?” is a slow jam filled with emotion. The keyboard lends an air of romance to this great tune. La Shonda wrote the lyrics, and Dwellingham provided the music. It's the age-old question inquiring minds want to know, and Sugar 'N Spice both ask the questions quite well.
6.“You're My Sugar, You're My Spice”. This is their big hit on West End Records. La Shonda and Maurice are doing that thing they do so well together. When they sing, they make magic and they always make you want to dance to that happy, bouncy sound they are so famous for.
7.“Baby, Let's Dance”. Yes, more fun, more laughs, more party time with that excitement in every phrase. La Shonda and Maurice really have disco down to a science, making us forget our troubles and just feel good. Sugar 'N Spice is a tough act to follow!
These songs were originally produced by Herschel Dwellingham, then CEO of Helva Records, N.Y.C. He opened the Vaults of Helva, chucked full of dynamite treasures. Dwellingham is currently the CEO of Bogalusa Music Group, Bogue/Magic City Records, Bogalusa LA.
