This is a very warm and intimate collection of mature and enjoyable songs.

On this debut release, Steppin' It Up A Notch, Steve Wilson shows us that he is a singer-songwriter of great talent. This is a very mature album, and contains a wealth of intelligent, warm and highly sophisticated songs. His studio band, The Innocent Bystanders, features both Robbie McIntosh formerly of The Pretenders and The Paul McCartney Band, and Chas Dickie from the legendary Van Der Graaf Generator. Some of you may know them from their other roles in Gordon Haskell's band. With musicians of this calibre and songs of equal quality, it's no surprise that we end up with such an impressive album. Highly recommended!
