STEPHEN LAYCOCK is an independent artist and songwriter within alternative rock, adult contemporary, R & B and folk genre, drawing heavily from early blues-ballad artists of the 60's and 70's with similarities to Paul Simon, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, and Willie Nelson. Based out of Los Angeles, California, Stephen has been writing and performing since the age of fifteen, and has performed in churches, schools, coffee shops, auditoriums, and nightclubs throughout the United States and Europe.

His delicious wordsmith lyrics offer to inform us, and evoke images of life from days past, while sweeping along today’s interpersonal perceptions we share in common. His vocal style, blended with current music melody, is a foundation from Americana and traditional music.
He began Tripod Recording Studios and TM Publishing in 2005, while attending Musician's Institute, Hollywood, California. As a music Producer, he is currently working with several up-and-coming artists in Los Angeles producing songs for television and movie projects.

He has participated in fund raising for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and the American Diabetes Foundation.
