Glasgow's STAPLETON return triumphantly with Hug the Coast, their third album and best work to date. Recorded in the torrid Baltimore summer by legendary producer J Robbins (Promise Ring, Dismemberment Plan, Clutch) and packaged in the stunning original artwork of Grammy-nominated Jesse LeDoux (The Shins, Pedro the Lion) the thirteen tracks on Hug the Coast realise Stapleton's potential to the full. Warm blankets of guitars wrap the most memorable of melodies with poetic prose and thoughtful introspection.

Stapleton have toured the UK with Idlewild, The Get Up Kids and Hundred Reasons and won the Radio 1 Session in Scotland's Best New Band award in 2002. Regular airplay from Radio 1's specialist shows and XFM led to live sessions for BBC Scotland's Air, Radio 1's Session In Scotland and XFM.

Following a Rock Sound-sponsored national tour in the company of Statistics (whose Denver Dalley was in Desaparecidos with Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes) and Team, Stapleton were back on the road in February and April supporting Hundred Reasons.
