"What's my music like? It's edgier than a bowl of lime green jello, way more stimulating than a sedative, and almost as much fun as my brother-in-law's stand-up comedy routine. But seriously…I've lived a lot of life, and seen my share of highs and lows. For me, singing and songwriting are cathartic, healing, and energizing. Listen to my songs and you'll have a better understanding of my world, and maybe of yours too.” — Sheryl Paige
So just what will you hear in Sheryl's songs? In the acoustic Clapton-esque love ballad “Got to Be” you'll hear intense longing, desire and commitment. In “I Won't Forget You” you'll hear the story of the unfailing love her grandfather showed her grandmother during her battle with Alzheimer's disease. You'll hear a tongue-in-cheek depiction of over the top commercialism in “Selling out the Moon.” You'll find out what women really want in the song “You Make Me Smile.” There's much more. Sheryl is the kind of singer songwriter who'll sit in your living room, lay open her soul in her songs, laugh and talk with you over a decaf double-shot latte and become your friend for life.
Sheryl's style can be best described as acoustic guitar based music that draws elements from folk, rock, country, classical and jazz, and is filled with pop-like musical and lyrical hooks that make for very memorable songs. Her voice is intimate, earthy and soulful.
Sheryl's drive to create and perform has spawned four recording projects, several songwriting and performing credits on other projects, and a local arts television show she produced and co-hosted called “Session 31” that focused on songwriters' creative process. She's toured the U.S., the U.K., and the Czech Republic.
