2004 debut album from Alberta's Celtic-Punk champs!

With this hot new debut full-length release from RUM RUNNER, Longshot Music continues to push the
boundaries of it’s punk rock’n’roll agenda...

Exploding out of Calgary, AB with their unique style of punk rock that has been shaped by influences that range from Delta blues to Oi!, but never ventures far from the structures of rock’n’roll, RUM RUNNER offers an excellent fusion of music reminiscent of fellow contemporaries FLOGGING MOLLY and earlier originators of the celtic-punk style, THE POGUES (as seen by their excellent cover versions of ‘Streams of Whiskey’ by the
Pogues and ‘Nervous Wreck’ by Shane MacGowan’s previous band,THE NIPPLE ERECTORS). Even though the obvious style and sound of this band is definitely of a ‘celtic’ persuasion, RUM RUNNER appeal to all types of music fans from punks to skins to rockers, etc.

In support of their debut, the boys will be planning to hit the road hard this summer with tour plans across Canada and down the west coast. There will also be a full media mail-out and promotion to college radio, weeklies and music zines such as AMP, Razorcake, Exclaim!, Caustic Truths, Punk Planet, Maximum Rock’n’Roll, Suburban Voice and more, including ads in many of the above.

This new album is in incredible addition to the growing discography from this young band, which includes some tentative
compilation appearances and a split 7" with fellow Calgary punks, the Blotto Boys.
