"The show must go on." That was the headline in the St. Cloud Daily Times after Rod McCary, having just broken his collarbone playing football, fell down and broke it again as the lead in the musical "Finian's Rainbow". So as a young boy looking for signs as to what you're to do with your life, he figured that must be it. It's right there in the newspaper. He was a natural.

After a stint in the Army, he came out to Hollywood. He graduated from UCLA, did local theater, and got his first big break on "General Hospital" as famed surgeon Dr. Joel Stratton. He went on to star with Barbara Eden in "Harper Valley PTA" as Bobby taylor. He did over 100 episodes of television on such shows as "Hotel", "Fantasy Island", "Murder She Wrote", "Hart To Hart", "L.A. Law", "Sparks" and "Six Feet Under".

But when Rod came to Hollywood, his dream was to become the next Frank Sinatra. As his acting career took off and he rode the wave, he put aside his dreams of singing. Now he's finished his first CD, a labor of love... and long overdue. He's chosen ten of his favorite standards, and delivers them with an original, bluesy, intimate style.
