The legendary folksinger sings classic traditional songs with a simplicity that can only be defined as profound.

These songs celebreate Christmas as a time of birth, of hope, of survival. They are songs of celebration, of reaffirmation and of how my forebears managed to get through, under, over and around oppression.

The spirit is the area that I am addressing, by way of these songs. I hope that they will touch within us something that will help people to give birth to their own individual light, and to spread that light throughout the world.
