A dedicated musician who has been composing music for over ten years, Miles Tilmann continues to develop as an artist. He has released a number of albums which include the applauded 12" "3D Concepts" (Toytronic), the "Underland" cd (sub:marine), that made critics beg for more, and the well received 10" "Over and Through" (The Consumers Research & Development Label).

Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Miles eventually found himself in Florida studying
illustration in college. In 1996 his college roomate bought a keyboard and Miles
began experimenting with music, having been inspired by such diverse
sources as the rave music of the early 90s, industrial, the Beatles, and Pink
Floyd. It was there in Florida where he met and collaborated with the people who
would later go on to form the record label sub:marine, which would release a collection of Miles' songs on the "Underland" EP in 2001.

Miles moved to Chicago in 1999 to pursue his interests in both music and
illustration. Drawing plays a part in Miles' music in both the planning stages and
presentation. He sketches out visually metaphoric representations of songs in a
notebook and uses them as catalysts for his compositions. He has also created
limited edition Christmas albums ("Xmas" EPs) with hand drawn covers, and has
self-published a book of lithograph drawings (Figures 15-40), each of them individually signed and numbered.

He has toured America twice in support of "Underland", playing live shows in cities including but not limited to San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, Atlanta, Austin and Nashville. A tour happened in June and July of 2003 as well is support of "3D Concepts" and "Over & Through",, where he played about 20 live shows across the country with Mr. Projectile (Semisexual / Toytronic / Parotic / Musik Aus Strom) and Adam Johnson (M3rck / Parotic / Musik Aus Strom), including a date in San Francisco alongside such notable acts as Funkstorung, Sutekh, and Spacetime Continuum.
