“Rockers Roadshow” is the theme song from the 10-part UK TV music series of the same name, whereas “Jungle Signal” is the soundtrack from the 6-part reggae documentary ‘Deep Roots Music' series(1982) on Channel 4 TV, UK. ‘Jungle Signal’ is the instrumental version of the Mikey Dread hit-song “Roots and Culture.” The horn section on “Jungle Signal” showcases the artistry of Rico Rodriguez on trombone and Eddie “Tan Tan” Thornton on trumpet. Songs like “Autobiography” and “Childhood Days” previously appeared on other UK labels and have now made it to the best sellers list. “Rockers Delight,” “Rub a Dub” and “African Map” are previous Mikey Dread singles from the 80’s.
“Rub a Dub” played by the Roots Radics band and Deadly Headley on saxophone was recorded at ‘Channel One Studio’ in Jamaica. “African Map” played by Sly and Robbie, Sowel Radics and Deadly Headley was a very popular track in Jamaica, which was mixed at ‘Treasure Isle Studio’. “Natural Rasta” and “Dub is the Roots” shows Mikey Dread working with other producers creating a new style of Mikey Dread reggae.
