Michael Dupont, born 1972, is Ph.D in anthropology and is lecturing at the University of Aarhus, Denmark. In 1981, Dupont started to play piano. Since then, he has composed several classical piano pieces and works for string orchestra.
”Kyrie” is alternative rock, combining rock, punk, classical music and electronica, inspired by the late 90’s music of P. J. Harvey, Radiohead, Sparklehouse and Eels.
The main theme of ”Kyrie” is isolation, loneliness, and the search of forgiveness. In Greek ”Kyrie” means the Lord, and the debut by Dupont is to be considered as a life statement, a confession.
