The third album from the wildest band in Spain is like a musical cocktail of the best sounds around: take some rhythm’n’blues and soul, add a little bit of country, some drops of garage‐rock, and a pinch of punk...and, voilá, Los Chicos. Produced by Mike Mariconda (The Devil Dogs, The Stepbrothers and The Raunch Hands), and legendary New York label Crypt A&R, “Launching Rockets” is a statement of intent that Spanish rock’n’roll is poised to take over the world. With an exciting rhythm section influenced by James Brown, their guitars are driving and forceful like classic Dr. Feelgood and at the same time reckless and playful like Bo Diddley. The crazy and fun “Los Chicos Party Boogie” brings back the pub rock spirit reminiscent of important symbols in the band’s life like The Pogues. “Play it for Real” is a duet with the legendary Paul Collins (The Nerve, The Beat), whilst “Sheep Attack” is a revolutionary anti‐establishment anthem that recalls the most powerful tracks from Cred ence Clearwater Revival.

At a press conference in Madrid, it was said by famed singer Beck that, “Los Chicos are my favourite Spanish band.” With this album it is without doubt they will win many more fans from around the globe.

Their sound is a rousing mix that on stage explodes in a powerful and exhuberant rock and roll party. It’s their pure faith in the powers of amplification and alcohol that saw them on a previous visit to the UK get a room of 200 sinners down on to their knees before taking each and every one of ’em straight outta the venue and throwing a party in the nearby McDonalds before heading to an Indian restaurant (and really bringing rock’n’roll to the people!), leaving mayhem in their wake.
