On this album you will hear songs you can sing to, songs you can groove to, and songs you will want to cry to...but one thing is certain, you'll be taken on an intimate and personal emotional journey that will leave you on a real high.
Lori Greco is a singer/songwriter from Perth, Australia.
Her debut album is a collection of self penned songs which showcase her powerful and emotive voice. From ballads to country, pop to r 'n b and songs with an infectious groove - every song on the album has commercial appeal.
Lori ( her real name is Loredana) was born in a little hilltop town, just out of Naples, Italy. At the age of three, Lori emigrated to Adelaide, South Australia with her family.
Her school teacher introduced her to the piano when she was seven and from that very first moment, Lori was captivated and fell in love with the piano. She took piano lessons in classical music over a period of 14 years. She idolized Elton John, Barbra Streisand and Whitney Houston and so her love of playing and singing began.
Lori enrolled at the Elder Conservatorium of Music in Adelaide, studying for a Bachelor of Music and later a Bachelor of Education. To supplement her studies, she began playing and singing in various piano bars and restaurants in Adelaide where she developed a regular fan base supporting her gigs.
Finishing her degrees, Lori was appointed as the Musical Director for the "The Pyjama Game", "Pippin" and "A Little Night Music". She received glowing reviews...all by the age of 21.
From there on, Lori appeared on several television variety shows such as "Hey Hey It's Saturday" , Channels 10's "Pot Luck", and "New Faces". She was invited to sing on "A Touch of Elegance", a morning TV chat show several times. She also was a finalist in "The Australian Singing Competition"on two occasions.
Lori later moved to Perth. and began singing at the Lobby Lounge at The Sheraton Hotel. There she joined a corporate show band "Supremely Motown" ( a tribute to the music of Motown) which continually sells out to Perth audiences.
In 2006, she wrote and recorded a song called "AUSTRALIA", a patriotic song highlighting her love for her home country.
Australia has received airplay for two years, as well as many performances by Lori at Tourism Award Ceremonies and Australia Day concerts. Lori has been a guest on interviews on both radio and television , culminating in live performances of the song on ABC Radio, and to over 30,000 people in the port city of Fremantle in Perth, on Australia Day, January 26, 2007 and 2008.
