Fifteen years of performing, recording, and producing music, has earned guitarist Loren Middleton the reputation as an electrifying and versatile guitar player and music composer. Loren Middleton’s guitar sound, while primarily derived from his intuitive and soulful ability to exact melodies and colorful chord structures, has been shaped by the extreme influences of Blues, R&B, Rock and Jazz. Loren’s eclectic style is explosive with his Hendrix and Santana influences; yet, passionate and sophisticated when he articulates his voice on the acoustic and jazz guitar.

Loren was born and raised in Indianapolis, where his mother and grandfather instilled a passion for music composition. From age six, Loren maintained a continual exploration and study of music, learning the piano, guitar, trumpet, and baritone horn. Loren gained insight into the dynamics of music composition while performing in The North Central High School Concert Band. At age fourteen, Loren found that the guitar was the instrument that enabled him to fully express his love and passion for music.

Upon graduating from college, Loren immersed himself in the Chicago blues circuit, performing soulful renditions of the blues with his band “The Bluesed and Battered Band”. This group performed weekly at Chicago music venues, such as Blues on Halsted, Buddy Guy’s Legends, RedFish Voodoo Lounge, as well as many others in the Chicagoland area. Through this experience, Loren has shared the stage with many Chicago legends, such as Delmark Recording artist Lurrie Bell, Chico Banks, and Shirley King. Frustrated with the Chicago blues scene, Loren realized that his future in the music industry, was in session recording and music production. Composing and producing in all genres of music, Loren was successful in forming Lo-Jazz Records, www.lojazz.com, with his brother Kyle S. Middleton. Lo-Jazz Records has established global on-line distribution for Loren’s compositions and other independent artists who are seeking professional recognition in the industry.
