Being born in Scotland, and emigrating to Windsor, Canada has certain advantages if you are an electronic musician.

First, Windsor has the unique feature of being situated just two minutes by car across a narrow river from Detroit, Michigan, the city where one of electronic music's most important movements began. The early sounds of seminal techno music broadcast from Detroit radio stations , was easily received by the radio that Paul Edwards, singer/producer of Le Bus, would as a teenager tune into with rapt attention.

Meanwhile, Paul's cousin back in Scotland was sending him a steady stream of mixtapes via airmail of the exploding underground UK music scene.

Moving to Toronto, Paul began to release electronic music and perform live under several monikers including Sudden, which led to Paul opening for techno legends Orbital, invitations to festivals like Toronto's Edgefest, and the Detroit Electronic Music Festival.

But, while producing electronic music, Paul also was spending a lot of time playing guitar in singing in local indie-rock bands, and eventually begun to experiment with ways to bring these two musical spheres together.

Le Bus' music has an "electronic heart and the soul of a simple song", says Paul Edwards.

By combining vocals and songwriting, with electronic sounds that owe much to Detroit's early days, Le Bus have created a fresh-yet-familiar offering that will be hard to resist on a dancefloor and intriguing enough that you will want to invite "It's All On" home with you afterward.
