Laura Finnochiaro is a singer, composer, guitarist, music producer and art educator. Ever since 1982, she has been writing sound tracks and contemporary pop songs, composed in partnership with various Brazilian lyricists and poets, and carved herself an unparalleled niche within the national musical scenario. Her CD ‘Oi” produced by her own production company Sorte Produções is a synthesis of her entire career.
The musical press have often paid homage to her talent of mixing classics with electronic beats, thus bringing a new energy into Brazilian popular music.
By introducing her very own special elements into her music, she has forged her own special identity singing and playing pop, rock, funk or bossa nova. Her musical repertoire also includes work of a spiritual nature, as in her CD “Tashi Delê mantras de roda”.
