Krickie moved to San Francisco in her early 20’s and began performing at local pubs and coffee houses, frequenting the open-mic scene where bands such as Patchwork and Box Set were in the formation. After living in San Francisco for a number of years krickie followed her heart to Marin County, where the beautiful scenery always brings her back to her Pacific Northwest roots where much of her inspiration for songwriting has come.
Krickie has performed at various venues as a solo musician and songwriter. Some of her highlights include the Annual Twin Pines Art & Wine Festival, a Farm Sanctuary walk-a-thon benefit in San Francisco, and a walk-a-thon benefit for the Leukemia, Melanoma & Lymphoma Society called Light The Night. Krickie wrote and performed an original song called “Light the Night” for this final event which was attended by hundreds of people at Justin Herman Plaza in San Francisco.
On stage, krickie has performed with various bands and musicians. Big Luv Nation, the Brenda Baker Band, Derek Smith (formerly of the Mad Hannans), Freddy Clarke and Darryl C. Anders, former bassist for Noelle Hampton, have all backed her up. More recently, krickie has played the opening act for Davey Pattison (singer for Gamma & Montrose), Cathy McDonald (singer for Big Brother & the Holding Company), and Johnny A, a contemporary jazz & blues guitarist currently on tour with his band. During the world-wide MIDEM music industry conference this past January in Cannes, France, krickie had the opportunity to perform her song, “Don’t Save Your Song for Hollywood” at the Hotel Martinez with Red Stripe accompanying her on piano.
Among her accomplishments in recording, krickie has had two of her songs produced by Bonnie Hayes, a hit songwriter from Marin County. She has also recorded with Cole Tate, an accomplished blues guitarist and recording artist, at Bo-La-De Studios in Mill Valley, California.
Krickie’s main goal with her music is to spread positive and creative energy to as many people as she can in this world.
