The Kingdom Flying Club's debut album MINUTES FROM THE MEETING was named the Best Album of 2002 among Columbia, Missouri's vibrant local music scene. With the release of 2003's NON-FICTION, the Kingdom Flying Club garnered national attention with widespread airplay on college radio, peaking at #95 on CMJ's Radio 200 charts. The album's hit single ARTISTS ARE BORING has been featured in the FOX show THE OC and in a commercial for the AMC cable channel.

The band's eclectic mix of all original songs ranges from indie-pop to soft ballads to the occasional wild rock number. The band does all of their own recording, mixing and mastering in a big salmon-colored house in Columbia, Mo. Part of a local collective of bands called Emergency Umbrella Records, the Kingdom Flying Club toured the eastern United States in 2004 in support of their SUMATRA FOX EP.
