KERRANG! MAGAZINE
"A debut album that justifies the hype and expectancy any band creates is always heartily welcome. Especially when like this it goes a step further and surpasses all promise... this excellent album ensures Kill Casino are a safe bet for much, MUCH bigger things.. 8/10”
ROCKSOUND MAGAZINE
“Icon in the making singer/bassist Karen Luan’s voice takes this band to another level… leaves the likes of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs eating dirty venue floor…. 4/5”
BIG CHEESE MAGAZINE
KILL CASINO are one lady and two gentlemen of the rock persuasion.
All three aliens to the city, they set out to puncture the underbelly of the London live music scene and ended up touring the UK in a van with no steering column, sharing stages with The Start, the Zicco Chain, Lost Alone and the Mirimar disaster to name but a few and picking up airplay on Kerrang! Radio, XFM and Radio One. In September 2007 their debut album, “I’ve been to London to See the Queen,” hit the shelves to unanimous critical praise with the press championing the return of a front woman with credibility as an antidote to those rock dollies who had for too long exploited novelty over substance.
‘Best Served Cold’, the second single, comes complete with German language version B side, “ well - we just wanted to do something different, when you’re not on a major, you can essentially do what the fuck you want! - Luan” a crunchy hellraiser of a track that cements Kill Casino as bright new things on the UK rock scene.
