Jay discovered all things techno in the mid nineties, after being introduced to dance music through the UK rave scene. Together with like-minded people he helped build up a soundsystem, and then a regular night – Black Box, which is now in its third year down in sunny Brighton UK. Black Box has hosted a diverse range of artists over the years, including James Ruskin, Ceephax Acid Crew, D.A.V.E the Drummer, Jimmy Edgar & Neil Landstrumm to mention a few. Their crowd is open-minded and always ready to hear the next steps in techno, and this attitude has helped Jay develop his own unique sound in his productions, thinking further than just the current trends.
