In music I don't attempt to be or play the leading role. Its beauty is not my beauty; it's beautiful in and of itself. Music only appears when I cease to exist and the joy inherent in the music is infinite.

IREK WOJTCZAK - saxophonist, composer, arranger, graduate of the Academy of Music, Gdańsk. In 2000, as one of the founding members of the Tri-Cities [Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia] group Groovekojad, he recieved the Polish music award

As a session player, he has worked in both film and the theater on recordings for Leszek Możdżer's transopera A Midsummer Night's Dream and the soundtrack for the film Segmnent 76 directed by Oskar Kaszyński. In 2004, the Irek Wojtczak Quartet recorded the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim on Look to the Sky, and the following year they released Outlook, with all compositions by Wojtczak.
