Formed in 2003 by legendary AGONY COLUMN’s guitarist Stuart Laurence, Pat Doyle (drums), Beverly Barrington (rhythm guitar), Brendon Bigelow (bass) and Erika (vocals), IGNITOR exploded out of the Texas metal forge with scorching intensity. Playing a classic yet fresh take on the heavy metal of the 1980s, IGNITOR quickly proved they were an unexpected force from US shores with which to be reckoned.
The band released their mini CD "Take to the Sky" in April 2004.
“Take” was highlighted as Demo of the Month by Germany's Rock Hard magazine, and PowerMetal.de announced IGNITOR as one of the Top Newcomers of 2004.
Scores of favorable reviews poured in from all over the world. The classic metal clan embraced IGNITOR with open, leather-clad arms.

IGNITOR spent 2004 and 2005 burning up stages in Texas and beyond. In May 2005, they made the metalheads sweat at the Monterrey, Mexico Metalfest Vol II. Six months later, the attendees of Germany’s Keep It True V Festival spilled their beer in awe of a performance lauded as “the “best of any opener in KIT’s history.” Throughout all this live activity, IGNITOR continued to write new music.

Spring of 2006 saw a lineup change – Beverly out and shredder Annah Moore in.
Re-vitalized by this new addition, the band hit the studio to lay the musical asphalt of their full-length release, “Road of Bones.” “Road” is an hour long sojourn through winding avenues of history, emotion and adventure; a barreling tank of guitars and drums fueled by the powerhouse vocals of Erika.

Featuring an original artwork by Joe Petagno and the HEAVY METAL HYMN “Reinheitsgebot”, “Road of Bones” will be released in Fall 2007 by Cruz Del Sur Music, and promises to take IGNITOR on a new journey into the world of metal.
