Relevant, but Different....

....While Hulsey has a sound that is both relevant to today’s music, their music is fresh and different catching the ears of many listeners from a variety of demographics and genres.

Hulsey’s first show (Justin as a solo performer then) was at the THE END, a premier club in Nashville, TN, with Harsh Krieger on Dec. 17th 2004. That night a connection was made on stage and off with the audience. Since that time Hulsey has been performing, writing and recording ever since. Their fan base has only grown and momentum has not stopped yet!

What began as Justin’s solo act and recording project (a 4-Song E.P., in January of 2005) with Producer Jonathan Smith (http://www.myspace.com/therealjonsmith) evolved into so much more! The musicians on this E.P. were Justin Hulsey, Jonathan Smith, and Cary Barlowe (of Luna Halo courtesy of American/Warner Brothers). A solo performance that began in December of 2004 quickly became the band HULSEY, a musical collaboration fronted by Justin with the input and additions of Erich and Jason. Naturally more live shows soon followed and the creation of more music.

Currently the band is writing, playing more shows, and demoing. Justin writes the lyrics, but the band works together in an integrated effort to bring HULSEY’s musical style to life.
