HOTEL AMBI ENTE is the new musical project conceived and directed
by Marco Bianciardi, former Caboto s guitarist and Elton Junk s
drummer, bands with which on the last years he played live and
released records in Italy and beyond.
This new experience is a bid to bring sound visions of the previous
bands to further consequences, and so to include in a rock context the
results of theatrical and cinematographic works.
Music into the Hotel Ambiente, on a surface layer, it seems to follow a
multitude of different genres (commas are obligatory, since the
project itself tries to exceed pre-codified languages
or rather, to
reveal what is in the midst of them). On a deeper layer, it s possible to
talk about it as an effort of criticism, an onslaught to the usual practices
of listening the rock and pop music, meaning this effort like the
intention to distort perceptions, through compositions (thanks to surreal
lyrics of songs too) that follow more dream s rules than wakefulness
ones, inside an unbroken metamorphosis that aims constantly to an
elsewhere .
So references are more consonant with artists and poetics within extramusical
or unstricly pop fields: such as William S. Burroughs, David
Lynch, Carmelo Bene, Francis Bacon or Igor Stravinskij.
The band has just begun playing on stage with a visionary, sharp and
dense live show. Giulio Burroni and Lorenzo Marzocchi are taking part in
this first stage of the project.
