Hariprasad Chaurasia "Krishna's Charm: As the follow to the popular "Krishna's Flute," this newer recording again displays Hariprasad Chaurasia's sensitivity and virtuosity in extremely fine form. The opening long track is an evening raga, "Raga Jhinjhoti," giving expression to the romantic moment when daylight meets the dark of the night. From the drawn out introduction, where he slowly unfolds the melody, to the addition of a light rhythmic pulse, this piece develops beautifully. Then the tabla, played by Fayiaz Khan, is added, bringing a more profound rhythm to the piece. With a folk tune from the Himalayan Mountains, this recital is concluded in a joyful fashion, typical for the concert practice of Hariprasad Chaurasia.
