Gary McKnight started his study of religion and music at an early age, going to church almost every day after school. Fascinated by the interior of the church and the huge organ, he began taking piano lessons, and was soon proficient enough to play at Mass. A brief flirtation with the idea of entering the convent passed into a mature career as an instrumentalist who focuses chiefly on Christian themes, and this album is a prime example.
