The Story of Fin
In February of 2004, the boys of FIN began recording “I Miss the Mess” – the debut LP from this LA-based band of poets, scientists and wizards. It wasn’t until April of that same year that the sound of the group took shape.
Melting Brit rock into Emo and Pop wasn’t the thing that made FIN stand out. Let’s face it, there are 1000’s of bands wanting to be this, wanting to capture that love-song-meets-hate-mail vibe. What made this band stand out at the 23 shows they played in Hollywood while recording their first record was the songwriting.
FIN is one of those rare breeds of ban. The kind that is born out of doing it yourself in the vacuum left by artists that carbon copy the latest Billboard chart. The kind that can deliver an amazing album AND an amazing show. The kind that understands it is just getting started and is focused intently on leaving a stinging mark on the scene of music in the millennium.
This is the bio, this is the text that bands write to make themselves look great. Time could be spent making this few paragraphs magic, but the proof is in the listening. Just listen. Listen to the soaring melodies, the hypnotic guitar layers, the bursts of rhythm, the sounds of another planet.
Just listen.
