This album features Dominic Alldis' stylish interpretations of American Songbook classics, Cole Porter's "So In Love" and Rodgers & Hart's "With A Song In My Heart", as well as songs by Billy Strayhorn, Michel Legrand and Johnny Mandel. Also included are two modern jazz-cabaret classics, Dave Frishberg's hilarious "Blizzard of Lies" and Bob Dorough's cool "Devil May Care", and a jazz treatment of an English ballad, Ivor Novello's "My Dearest Dear". All the arrangements are by Dominic Alldis and feature a stellar line-up of British jazz artists, including Iain Ballamy on saxophone and Gerard Presencer on trumpet.
