Deon Blyan writes broken pop songs. The thing about pop songs is that they can be too shiny, too perfect - they slide right off of you. But a broken pop song has all the melody and all of the charm plus jagged edges that catch in your hair and cling to your clothing. It's easy to catch a broken pop song but tricky to let it go. Since the release of his record "Try To Be Kind" Deon has continued to perform live, solo and with his band.
