Metropolitan Tribe: Upbeat, a little bit world, a little funk and a lot of groove. Modern-day instruments and electric sounds get together with the tribal rhythms and ethnic instruments. Davide's first album, Desert Shaman, was about the "primordial" tribe and had a sound that comes from the peace and instincts of the wild desert as opposed to life in the fast lane. Metropolitan Tribe is a modern view of the shaman. The shaman lives in the city now may be wearing jeans, influenced by new cultures. The tribe comes from the mix of races we find around us every day in the cities.
Davide Ravasio is an Italian artist who graduated for Berklee School of music, Boston, did courses at Harvard and holds a performance degree from Bruno Maderna Conservatory, Cesena, Italy. He majored in composition and is a multi-instrumentalist, playing saxophone, clarinet, guitar, percussion, piano, etc. He now lives in Italy and teaches music in addition to producing his music.
