When the real story of Alexander Selkirk, a seaman that was left on a desert island near the coasts of Chile and who lived in solitude until his rescue, inspired Daniel Defo to write another novel based on real facts, but represtning them as if they were a newspaper description of the facts. In the case of Robinson Crusoe, to give the illusion that they were actual memories of the writer.

Cuando en inglaterra se conocio la historia real de Alexander Selkirk, un marinero que fue abandonado en una isla desierta cerca delas costas de Chile y que vivo varios anos en la soledad hasta ser rescatado inspiro a Daniel Defoe a hacer otra de sus novelas basadas en hechos reale, aunque presentandolas como si fueran una descripciom periodistica de los sucesos. Enel caso de Robinson Crusoe, para dar la ilusion de que se trataba de memorias reales, la primera edicion ni siquiera tenia el nombre de Defoe. Es una novela que guarda el interes a lo largo de ella y es considrada como un momumento de la literatura.
