Chelsea Wolfe grew up listening to Joni Mitchell, Fleetwood Mac, and her father's alt-country band El Dorado. She was inspired and encouraged to use guitar and voice to document the ebb and flow of her life.

Chelsea played her first solo acoustic show on January 1, 2005. Her straightforward emotional lyrics and her powerful vocal performances have earned her a dedicated following. While lending her vocal talents to other local artists "An Angle" and "Bridges", members of "Bridges" asked If they might help to produce her first album. In February 2006, work begain on "Mistake in Parting". The album was released on September 1, 2006.

Chelsea has since been touring both solo, and with her band Red Host, in Sacramento, Los Angeles, the Bay Area, New York and Paris, France in support of her debut album. She is currently in rotation on KDVS, 90.3fm in Davis.
