'Return To The Souce' is Cameron Pierre's second album on Candid and a platform his Cameron's wide wealth of talent, knowledge and folklore from the Caribbean.

Courtney Pine, with whom Cameron has been associated for a decade and who features on this disc, says "What sets this guitarist apart from the rest of the pack is his tone. A strong dark strident sound, flexible enough to work in any setting. Cameron has created a sound, yes a new sound which embraces past traditions married harmoniously with modern technology."

Cameron's 'Dark Velvet' sound is displayed here in a variety of moods - funky and bluesy as he stretches out on 'Monsieur Garmon,' jazzy on 'Mr. Walker,' (cunningly laid out over a compelling reggae beat) and soulful on his haunting ballad 'Soweto.'

Cameron has gathered together the cream of London's musicians of kindred spirit and roots - Courtney Pine, Orphy Robinson, Alex Wilson, Denys Baptiste, Robert Fordjour et al, all of whom contribute significantly to the success of this fresh and invigorating offering.
