Fabio Parrinello was born in 1979. Just like many teenagers he began playing guitar after hearing Nevermind in 1992.
He travelled a lot, he lived in Olympia, Wa and Los Angeles (U.S.A.) playing in the college venues.
He also lived and studied in London, playing in such bands as Kalima and Blue Room. He studied singing at the London Music School. Now he lives and works in Palermo.
Fabio Parrinello chose to hide behind a band's name to play his songs, just like the most introverted and shy American songwriters (Conor Oberst/Bright Eyes, Bill Callahan/Smog, Will Oldham/Bonnie Prince Billy) did. The moniker Fabio chose is Black Eyed Dog, the title of a Nick Drake song.
Fabio's songs are delicate, moving and sweet and recall the best British folk ballads of the past. Fabio's debut album "Love Is A Dog From Hell" (Ghost Records/Audioglobe) was recorded at Ghost Record Studio in Varese and La Sauna in Varano Borghi and was mastered at Noise Studio in Miami, Fl (U.S.A.) by Kramer.
